Comprised of melted down collected weapons used in violent crimes. Touchstone
of grass roots anti-violence program founded by Robert J. Miley. To be raised on
Central Ave. at Roosevelt in downtown Phoenix. 24` x 8` x 2`. Four 20`+ concrete
panels erupt from the plaza, creating the impact of the sculpture rising from
the earth.
Engineered lighting such as LED lights accentuate the cracks as well as spots
framing the edges of the sculpture. Messages of peace sandblasted in concrete
that parallel cracks in plaza, large curve benches accentuate the motion of the
a erupting concrete panels. Plaza design in coordination of plans with Phoenix
light rail design.
